The strangest character to cross our path this year was The Great Kat, a diminutive, Juilliard-trained classical musician who rebelled at all that stuffy pretension and is now devoting her life to performing classical masterworks in speed metal style. We wish the delightfully foul-mouthed Kat luck in producing her upcoming multimedia CD-ROM extravaganza. In the meantime, we'll sit back and enjoy some of our favorite cuts off her Beethoven on Speed CD: "Ultra-Dead", "Sex and Violins," "Gripping Obsession" and "Guitar Concerto in Blood Minor.
