The Great Kat’s Extreme Guitar Shred DVD is now available. The disc features six guitar/violin shred music videos, three shred bonus features, Kat photos and graphics plus wild versions of Wagner, Liszt, Vivaldi, Bazzini and Sarasate classical pieces.

Named one of the “Top 10 Fastest Shredders Of All Time” by Guitar One Magazine, the Great Kat was born Katherine Thomas in Swindon, England. After graduating from The Juilliard School, she began performing as a Classical violin soloist at Carnegie Recital Hall, where she won the exclusive Artists International Competition.

After touring the world, Kat realized that, “Classical music was dead,” so she began updating classical music with speed metal and transcribed intricate violin solos to the guitar.
