GREAT KAT ENDORSES BURNS

Burns USA Guitars announced The Great Kat as the official endorser of the Burns "Scorpion" Guitar. Burns USA Guitars chose the Great Kat to showcase their guitars because of her stature as the fastest female guitar shredder in the world. The Great Kat (aka Katherine Thomas) is a Juilliard graduate violin virtuoso turned Guitar Shredder, who was awarded Guitar One Magazine's "Top 10 Fastest Shredders of All Time" (April 2003 issue). The Great Kat was also proclaimed as "the fastest female guitar shredder in the world" in Spin Magazine's July 2003 profile.

"The Burns 'Scorpion' Guitar is viciously ripping, shredding and maniacally insane, with intensely fast finger action! It is PERFECT for The Great Kat's Shred/Classical rapid fire GUITAR SHREDDING AND EXTREME VIRTUOSITY!" declared The Great Kat, the High Priestess Of Guitar Shred.

"The Great Kat is ideal for our prestigious Burns USA guitars. We love the guitar virtuosity and outrageous persona of The Great Kat and her adaptations of the classics; a perfect fit to our history of famous artists who have played these Burns guitar classics," said John Coates, President, Burns USA.

Burns Guitars has a 50-year history of producing quality guitars for famous performers, such as Eric Clapton, Elvis, the Beatles, the Elton John Band, Blondie, and Oasis. Introduced in the early 1980's, the Burns "Scorpion" Guitar, endorsed by the Great Kat, has a gothic satin black finish (standard) and an alder body construction with a bolt-on rock maple neck. The mother-of-pearl bound fingerboard features an accessible 24 fret/25.5" scale with a pair of Burns split humbucker pick-ups and a coil tap on the bridge pickup. The standard configuration is a stop tailpiece, with an optional Floyd Rose tremolo system with a locking nut. Burns USA is the official North American distributor for Burns London, which was originally founded in 1960 by Jim Burns, who has been described as the "British Leo Fender." Websites:
