The Great Kat has been making a buzz for years in the metal and guitar player undergrounds and if you are a fan of either than you’ve probably at least heard her name. Hailed by Guitar One Magazine as one of the “Top 10 fastest shredders of all time” and being distinguished by the fact that no other females made the list, are minute points when considering the quiet (or not so quiet) manner in which she has continued to blend classical guitar and violin into one scary as all get out yet sonically pleasing package. The DVD includes 6 music videos filled to the brim with S&M, fake blood, men in cloaks who worship her, and more screaming than the original “Evil Dead” movie. At the heart of all the aggression and fetish elements however breathes a truly great and unique musician. Kat is an amazing guitarist and probably the most interesting violinist I have ever come across. The DVD also includes bits of guitar solos, answers to frequently asked questions, and some pictures. The “Live in Chicago” video is particularly cool because after you see Kat and hear her music it certainly makes you wonder how she could pull it off live. This is a really cool DVD for fans of the odd, extreme, and experimental. The faint of heart should probably avoid this one though.

Hit Picks: They are all great, which is probably why they were afforded the cash for the video making!
