Mike’s Review- Since I started Adrenalin Fanzine, I have reviewed
3 Great Kat CDs, reviewed her "DIGITAL BEETHOVEN ON CYBERSPEED"CD-Rom, her
recently released VHS tape (that appears to be no longer available), and now her recently
released DVD. Also, the Great Kat interview on the Adrenalin website has been the MOST
viewed interview for 12 months straight! It almost feels like Adrenalin would diminish
without her (or at least the other bands would have a chance). For those of you who have
not heard of the Great Kat, I suggest going to www.greatkat.com
and check out the goods.
Ok, now onto the review…. This DVD contains music videos for
“Zapateado”, “Torture Chamber”, “Castration”, “Live In
Chicago”, “Dominatrix”, and “War”. The bonus features include Hot
Shred Bits, Shred Faqs, and Shred credits. The overall production is really good and of
great quality. The music is her usual classical music played in a kick-your-ass lightning
speed metal style. After spending 6 years at The Julliard School of Music, the Great Kat
decided that mixing speed metal with classical music was the way of the future. Soon
after, she became The Great Kat.
